The Syrian Grains Corporation has begun rehabilitation work on a number of silos in Al-Hasakah Governorate, as part of the ongoing preparations to receive the 2026 wheat season, ensuring the absorption of marketed quantities from farmers and preserving the strategic stock.
The ongoing work includes the maintenance of a group of vital silos in the governorate’s countryside, most notably the Tal Alou, Tal Hamis and Sabah Al-Khair silos, with the aim of raising their technical and operational readiness before the start of the receiving season.
The rehabilitation operations include mechanical and electrical aspects, where maintenance work is carried out on equipment and machinery, repairs to faults, and rehabilitation of operating and control systems, ensuring work efficiency and continuity throughout the season.
These measures come within the framework of returning the silos to optimal service, and enabling them to accommodate the expected quantities of wheat crop during the purchasing season, which enhances the stability of the marketing process and serves the agricultural sector in the governorate.
