The General Authority for Fisheries and Aquatic Resources – Raqqa Branch announced the start of receiving license applications for fishermen and boats, in addition to stores selling fish of various types, whether table or ornamental fish, within the framework of regulating the fishing sector in the governorate.
The Authority explained that this step comes within the efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform to control work in this vital sector, which contributes to protecting fish wealth and enhancing its sustainability in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
The Authority called on those wishing to obtain licenses to visit the branch headquarters to complete the required procedures, and to bring the necessary documents, which include proof of identity, activity ownership documents, in addition to contact information.
The Authority stressed the importance of adhering to the issued instructions, stressing that violators will expose themselves to legal accountability in accordance with applicable laws.
