The Governor of Deir Ezzor, Ghassan Al-Sayyid Ahmed, and the Chairman of the National Authority for Transitional Justice, Brigadier General Abdel Basset Abdel Latif, opened the Authority’s branch in the governorate, marking the start of its official work.
The opening of the branch aims to follow up on transitional justice files and enhance efforts to achieve civil peace, which will contribute to addressing the effects of the previous stage and consolidating societal stability.
The two sides stressed the importance of the role that the Commission will play in Deir Ezzor, by receiving complaints and files, and working to address them in accordance with legal frameworks, in a way that supports the course of justice and enhances trust between citizens and official institutions.
