Rehabilitation work on the Raqqa Bridge continues at an accelerated pace, with repair operations on the damaged pillar reaching their final stages, after implementing seven successive casting stages with a total height of approximately 10 metres, amid expectations that they will be completed within the next few days.

Technical teams are currently preparing to install a layer of reinforced concrete under the metal scaffolding, with the aim of securing a stable base and preventing any possible subsidence during the implementation of installing the main block of the bridge.

In parallel, concrete reinforcement works are being carried out on the two intact pillars, with a height of up to 90 cm, to conform to the new slab level. This is following an updated engineering design that reduced the block thickness from 240 cm to 150 cm, using a more efficient structural system.

All stages of work are subject to precise engineering standards to ensure the safety and stability of the bridge, in preparation for its efficient and safe return to service, which will contribute to improving transportation and facilitating the movement of residents in the city of Raqqa.
