The General Electricity Company of Raqqa has begun implementing work to restore electricity to a number of the city’s neighborhoods, after a long outage that lasted for more than seven years, as a result of the severe damage to the infrastructure over the past years.
The works included the neighborhoods of: Dirayah Post Office, Insurance Park, Women’s Union, Muawiyah, Al-Wasal, Hawari, Amusement Park, Al-Jebaya, and Al-Bayda Park, in addition to the Martyrs and Ansar neighborhoods.
The company confirmed that supplying these neighborhoods with electricity will begin today, Wednesday, as part of a gradual plan aimed at restoring lighting and improving the service situation, which will contribute to alleviating the suffering of residents and supporting stability in the city.
