The residents of Al-Qwatli Street in the city of Raqqa are calling on the concerned authorities to find alternative and appropriate solutions for the owners of the stalls, by allocating organized places that ensure the preservation of their source of livelihood, in parallel with organizing the street and improving traffic.
Despite decisions to remove stalls, sidewalk occupancy remains a persistent problem, with some shop owners displaying their goods at the expense of pedestrian walkways, disrupting traffic and increasing the suffering of residents.
Residents hope that the expected measures will contribute to achieving a fair balance between the requirements of urban organization and the needs of stall owners, which will reflect positively on the reality of the street and the safety of passers-by.
