The General Corporation for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Deir Ezzor continues its work around the clock to take all necessary measures to purify the water of the Euphrates River and ensure the continued supply of drinking water to the city, following the high rate of turbidity as a result of torrential floods.
In this context, maintenance workshops in the Albukamal Water Unit completed work to replace water intake cracks in the main station, after they were out of service due to corrosion and old equipment, which contributed to improving the efficiency of the station’s work.
The maintenance workshops in the Al-Kasra Water Unit were also able to repair a 10-inch diameter main line at the entrance to the Safira Tahtani water station, which allowed the resumption of pumping water to the people of the town of Mhaimida after it was cut off.
These works come as part of the institution’s ongoing efforts to maintain the stability of water services and mitigate the effects of natural conditions that affect the quality of water sources in the region
