Random gunfire during Nowruz celebrations in the cities of Hasakah, Qamishli, Al-Malikiyah, and Amuda killed 4 civilians and injured more than 19 others with varying injuries, including a woman and a child.
According to local sources, the shooting was concentrated in the skies of the main neighborhoods, which led to bullets falling randomly on civilian homes and public streets, causing a state of panic and fear among the residents.
These incidents sparked a wave of widespread discontent among the population, who considered that the lack of security oversight directly contributed to the exacerbation of the phenomenon, calling on the concerned authorities to take strict measures to limit random shooting and prevent the recurrence of such tragedies that turn festive occasions into humanitarian disasters.
