The Syrian Company for Storage and Distribution of Petroleum Materials issued a resolution to close four domestic gas distribution centers in Raqqa Governorate, after detecting violations related to the monopoly of the material and non-compliance with the regulations adopted in the distribution process.
The decision came within the framework of measures taken to control the market and prevent tampering with basic materials that directly affect citizens’ lives.
The penalties imposed on violating centers included a fine equivalent to 50% of the value of the monopolized material, with a warning being issued that repeating the violation would lead to doubling the penalty, in addition to transferring violators to the judiciary to take the necessary legal measures against them.
