Markada area in Al- Hasakah countryside is witnessing a noticeable worsening of the feed crisis, amid increasing complaints from farmers and livestock breeders about the difficulty of obtaining hay, which is one of the primary sources of nutrition for livestock in the area.
This crisis comes amid difficult economic conditions in the area, raising concerns about its direct impact on the livestock sector, on which a large number of the population depends as a primary source of income.
According to circulating reports from residents, the quantities of hay available in the markets are limited and do not meet the needs of breeders, which has led to a significant increase in prices, leaving many of them unable to secure the necessary quantities for their livestock.
Livestock breeders warn that the continuation of this crisis may lead to significant losses in livestock, calling on the concerned authorities to intervene to secure feed and control prices in a way that reduces the increasing burdens on breeders.
