The Internal Security Forces in Raqqa Governorate have begun implementing a resolution to completely ban the use of motorcycles inside the center of Raqqa city.
According to local sources, security forces patrols began implementing the resolution by confiscating dozens of motorcycles from markets and residential neighborhoods in the city.
The resolution stipulates allowing the use of motorcycles in the countryside of Raqqa Governorate only, while prohibiting their entry or use within the city center.
The implementation of this measure comes after the expiry of the deadline granted by the security forces to motorcycle owners last week, with the aim of giving them the opportunity to abide by the decision before it is officially implemented.
