The Old Airport neighborhood in the city of Deir Ezzor is experiencing a noticeable improvement in the level of basic services provided to residents, which has led to increased reconstruction activity and the return of displaced families to the area.

This improvement is considered a new beginning for residents who endured difficult periods over the past years.

In an interview with the DeirEzzor24 Network, Hazem Al-Allou, a resident of the neighborhood, explained that the area is currently seeing a significant return of displaced residents who have begun repairing and rebuilding their homes.

Al-Allou pointed out that this progress comes alongside major improvements in basic services that have recently been provided in the neighborhood.

He stated “There has been a significant improvement in sewage and water services, in addition to internet services, which have begun to see major development after satellite Wi-Fi networks were installed in the area. This has helped improve the daily living conditions of residents.”

These improvements are part of ongoing efforts to restore normal life to the neighborhood, as small projects and service development contribute to strengthening social and economic activity. With residents returning to their homes, the neighborhood is gradually regaining its vitality.

These developments are considered an important step toward restoring stability in the Old Airport neighborhood. Residents hope that the relevant authorities will continue their efforts to develop and expand services to meet community needs, contributing to a more stable and prosperous environment for the people of the area in the near future.
