Construction work continues on the first phase of the rehabilitation project for the massive Euphrates Water Treatment Plant in Deir Ezzor.
Approximately 45% of the work has been completed, under the supervision of the Deir Ezzor General Establishment for Drinking Water and with support from UNICEF.
This project is considered one of the most vital in the city, given its pivotal role in improving the drinking water situation and securing a sustainable and safe water source for thousands of residents, following the extensive damage the plant sustained in recent years.
The ongoing work includes rehabilitating the plant’s basic infrastructure and maintaining its technical equipment, which will contribute to increasing its operational efficiency and paving the way for its full return to service in subsequent phases of the project.
Supervising authorities affirm that completing the project is part of a comprehensive plan to improve basic services in Deir Ezzor Governorate and enhance the stability of services and living conditions for residents.
