The Directorate of Political Affairs in Deir Ezzor Governorate hosted a number of members of the People’s Assembly representing the governorate and organized a dialogue session that brought them together with representatives of various community groups. The aim was to discuss laws related to citizens’ interests and needs, and to identify legislative priorities that can be proposed and followed up under the dome of the People’s Assembly.
The meetings began with a session that included the Teachers’ Union branch and university lecturers, during which the main challenges and difficulties they face as a result of certain existing laws were discussed, in addition to examining the impact of these laws on their professional and living conditions.
During the session, a set of proposals and recommendations was also presented to address these issues, in a way that contributes to improving the educational situation and serves the public interest. Participants emphasized the importance of continuing direct dialogue between representatives and community members to strengthen legislative work and ensure effective responses to citizens’ demands.
