SANA reported, citing a security source, that the competent authorities arrested both *Mohammad Al-Awwad* and *Abdul Latif Al-Hindi* after they targeted the building of the Mayadin District Directorate with a hand grenade a few days ago.
The source explained that preliminary investigations and examination of the phones seized from the detainees revealed their affiliation with one of Daesh cells, noting that they had been planning to carry out actions aimed at destabilizing security and stability in the area.
The source added that monitoring the movements and activities of the detainees helped gather the necessary evidence and complete legal procedures, pointing out that the suspects had been referred to the competent judicial authorities to follow up on the investigation and take appropriate measures.
