The Directorate of Agriculture in Deir Ezzor, in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), organized today a lecture at the Directorate’s building that addressed modern irrigation methods and climate-smart agriculture applications in winter vegetable projects.
The lecture focused on rationalizing water use, improving production efficiency, and applying sustainable agricultural techniques, with the participation of a number of agricultural engineers and workers in the sector. It also discussed mechanisms for field implementation and ways to overcome challenges.
This event comes as part of the Directorate’s plan to enhance local production and achieve food security through the adoption of advanced agricultural practices.
