The Security Directorate of the Mayadin region, in cooperation with the local police department, carried out an intensive security campaign aimed at combating reckless motorcycle driving, mainly around school areas.
The campaign focused on ensuring the safety of female students as they traveled to and from school. Security patrols were deployed during student arrival and departure times, resulting in the arrest of more than 60 individuals found to be riding motorcycles recklessly. Some of those arrested were also found to be involved in suspicious activities that posed a threat to the safety and security of the students.
The campaign covered the areas of Mayadin, Al-Asharah, Subaykhan, and Buqrus. The detainees and their motorcycles were transferred to the relevant authorities for further investigation and legal action.
This initiative is part of a comprehensive security plan aimed at maintaining public safety and addressing behaviors that endanger civilians, mainly vulnerable groups such as school students.
