A reporter of DeirEzzor24 Network said that the General Security in the city of Maadan in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor arrested drug dealers and traffickers, after a campaign it launched in the area.
He added that the General Security campaign resulted in the arrest of 21 drug dealers and traffickers during the past 48 hours.
He pointed out that the arrest came through a thorough inspection campaign carried out jointly by the police and the General Security in the city of Maadan and its surroundings in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor.
Special sources told DeirEzzor24 Network that the campaign will continue. They will include the towns of Al-Tabni and Al-Masrab in addition to Maadan west of Deir Ezzor, to reduce the phenomenon of drug use and trafficking.
General Security seized quantities of (hashish, crystal, and Captagon) during the campaign, and the detainees were transferred from the city of Maadan this morning to the city of Deir Ezzor to complete the investigation with them and open reports for them.
