Many Deir Ezzor residents have recently complained about the deterioration of bread quality, in addition to most residents being exploited by bread agents, according to a reporter of the DeirEzzor24 Network..
Our correspondent said that bread agents have started selling a bundle containing only 10 loaves for 4,500 Syrian pounds.
He added that some poor families in Deir Ezzor complained about the high price of a bundle, as most Deir Ezzor families live in a dilapidated economic reality, as a result of the low salaries they received from the defunct Assad regime, and are unable to pay the price of a bundle, as the bread expenses have become costing the Deir Ezzor family between 150 and 300 thousand Syrian pounds per month.
Notably, the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in the interim government has fixed the price of bread so that the price of a bundle containing 12 loaves is 4,000 pounds, and from the agent 5,000 pounds.
