DeirEzzor24 exclusive report
The Sayyid al-Shuhada militia brought a drug shipment from Lebanon via Homs Governorate to Albukamal, east of Deir Ezzor, according to a correspondent for DeirEzzor24 Network.
Our correspondent said that the shipment included medicines and “Captagon” pills and began preparing them for smuggling to Iraq or distributing them locally.
He added that local leaders, in coordination with leaders of the Iranian-backed militias and officers from the Republican Guard and Border Guard, are participating in the drug transfer operations from Lebanon to Homs, Deir Ezzor, and from there to Iraq.
It is worth noting that the Sayyid al-Shuhada militia is affiliated with the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces militia, led by the so-called “Sayyid Ahmed”, and its headquarters is in the border town of Al-Hari in the Albukamal countryside.
