DeirEzzor24 exclusive report
The cotton worm has recently spread in cotton crops in Deir Ezzor Governorate, according to a DeirEzzor24 local reporter.
Our correspondent said that this spread of the cotton worm threatens agricultural crops with failure, amid the absence of effective medicines and useful insecticides to prevent harmful insects, noting that most of the available pesticides are expired and spoilt under the supervision of the Directorate of Agriculture in areas controlled by the Assad regime in Deir Ezzor Governorate.
It is noteworthy that the reasons for the spread of harmful insects for the current summer season are the extremely high temperatures, high humidity, and the absence of frost in the winter.
