A major dispute occurred today between the 4th Division and the 17th Division at the Baloum checkpoint of the 4th Division, west of the city of Al-Mayadeen, east of Deir Ezzor, a DeirEzzor24 local reporter reported today.
Our reporter said that the reason for the dispute was that members of the Fourth Division detained the 17th Division’s overnight buses for several hours, with the aim of obtaining royalties to allow them to transport diesel and food supplies outside Deir Ezzor Governorate, which required the intervention of officers from both sides to try to calm the situation.
Members of Assad’s forces in Deir Ezzor steal the diesel and gasoline confiscated from the people, and smuggle it out of the city to sell it there because of their weak salaries.
