DeirEzzor24 reveals the involvement of members of a Russian-backed corps in smuggling operations in Deir Ezzor

te sources revealed to the DeirEzzor24 network a new smuggling route between the areas controlled by the Assad regime and the SDF in Deir Ezzor.

The sources said that the new road is managed by officers from the Russian-backed Fifth Corps in the town of Tabiya, an island east of DerEzzor, and is located on its eastern borders at points of contact with the town of Jadeed Akidat.

She added that smuggling operations include smuggling gasoline, diesel, and foodstuffs.

It is noteworthy that smuggling operations through the new road are carried out using handcarts near the agricultural lands east of the gas station, by members of the Corps and from the people of the region, on a small level and in limited quantities.
