With the start of the harvest season in Deir Ezzor Governorate for the year 2024, the wages of harvest workers have increased significantly, according to what a Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent reported.
Our correspondent said that the worker’s wages per day reached 20,000 Syrian pounds per day, 100,000 Syrian pounds for a dunum of harvest by manual hoeing, and 40,000 for a dunum of harvesting ears.
He added that harvest prices were decided at the executive office meeting in the presence of the new governor, Moataz Qattan, according to the following:
– Harvesting a dunum by providing diesel for 66 thousand Syrian pounds.
– Harvesting a dunum without providing diesel is 96 thousand liras.
– Isolating one bag “study” by providing diesel for 23 thousand liras.
– Insulating one bag without diesel costs 30 thousand liras.
Deir Ezzor is considered one of the governorates that economically depends almost primarily on the wheat and barley crops it produces annually.
