DerEzzor24 exclusive report
The DeirEzzor24 network monitored a new issue that has begun to burden the people in regime-controlled areas in Deir Ezzor province.
This issue is represented by the loss of people’s personal cards while they are collected on public transport buses by the driver’s assistant or micro collector for transport to the Military Security inspection room, so that the cards collected on a daily basis are missing one or more cards under the pretext that they were “lost or fell from the bus collector.”
A private source told DeirEzzor24 that the missing cards are stolen by military security personnel to be used for the purposes of smuggling wanted persons or trading in contraband after matching the personal photo to the ID.
This dangerous phenomenon has recently begun to appear at the Assad regime’s checkpoints in Deir Ezzor, where residents are rushing to organize immediate arrests with the date and time of the loss to avoid bearing charges in the future.
