DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
The secretary of the Baath Party branch in Deir Ezzor, Raed al-Ghadhban, accused the winners of the elections to the Baath Party’s Central Committee for Deir Ezzor province (Taha al-Khalifa, Bashar al-Mutlaq and Ma’an al-Saleh) of treason in granting votes and dealing against him, a private source told the DeirEzzor24 network.
Al-Ghadban, along with his corrupt group, lost the elections that were held a few days ago in Damascus, and he was directly accused of corruption when he spoke about his national positions during the siege of the city of Deir Ezzor and the military airport, where he was hiding in a sewage drain.
He is well-known among the “Al-Ghadhban” family, who is a drug dealer, and he works in the frozen dollar trade between the provinces of Deir Ezzor and Damascus. He has even accused his brother, Hassan, a commander of the National Defense and the Fourth Division, of killing a person and holding one of his members responsible for the murder, in addition to seizing the lands of the displaced from Hawija al-Mariyah and renting the town’s lands at high prices.
Al-Ghadban will remain in his position as a secretary of the Baath Party branch in Deir Ezzor until the end of September, pending the election of members of the branches’ leadership.
