The nomination stage for the Baath Party conferences in Deir Ezzor has ended, and the stage of receiving objections from candidates has begun, according to a DeirEzzor24 network reporter.
Our reporter said that the number of candidates reached 111, with the first conference starting next Saturday to elect approximately 35 candidates, while the second conference will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, during which the leadership of the Baath Party branch in Deir Ezzor will be elected.
These elections are considered formal in light of the adoption of nepotism and bribes amounting to hundreds of millions paid to Assad regime officials in Damascus to obtain a leadership role in the party.
