Iranian influence has increased in Deir Ezzor province as it now includes, apart from the military, security and cultural presence, economic dominance over the markets, according to what was monitored by the DeirEzzor24 network.
A local reporter of the network said that shop owners expressed their fears about the Iranian goods that have begun to invade the markets in an unprecedented manner recently, and most of the goods that are available in today market are Iranian.
It is noteworthy that Iranian goods are now competitive with local prices because they are not subject to customs demarcation.
