Air Force Intelligence in the city of Al-Bukamal summoned a number of returnees and interrogated them about their relatives who are outside the country and the nature of the relationship that binds them, according to what was reported by a DeirEzzor24 network reporter.
According to the reporter, the majority of those returning to Al-Bukamal and its countryside either came from Damascus and the rest of the provinces, or came from the Gulf countries.
This measure is taken by the security branches of the Assad regime as a pretext to extort the population, by fabricating certain charges against them, such as communicating with opponents abroad or receiving support from them, in order to take financial royalties from them under the threat of arrest.
