Deir Ezzor 24 Network met with Mahmoud’s father, Mr. Riad Sufif, to talk about Mahmoud’s achievement and his beginnings with practicing this sport, leading to his excellence in it and achieving victories.
Mahmoud’s father, Mr. Riad Sufif, tells the story of his son’s entry into the field of martial arts. He says:
“Mahmoud” was born in Deir Ezzor in 1999.
He took refuge in Turkey at the age of 13, and then to the Netherlands. Since his arrival to the Netherlands, he asked me to enter the field of martial arts, “kickboxing,” and I was not surprised by his desire, as I had noticed his inclinations to the sport of boxing and fighting since his childhood, but his request put me and his mother between two bitter things. As for, the first is our fear for our only son, as it is a difficult sport, as it is called a death sport, and it is one of the most difficult sports in boxing and MMA as well.
This is on the one hand, and on the other hand, we fear for our son because he entered Europe as a teenager and so that there would be no warnings from their son and he enters.
His parents had problems that they did not need because he was a bit naughty, and his childhood adventures were also annoying to his parents and to his social environment of relatives and neighbors, so when he entered Europe everything also seemed different, so I encouraged him to choose what he wanted from sports, realizing that the world of sports also has educational and moral aspects that change his.

His father added, “When Mahmoud went to register in the club with two of his friends, a young man from Eritrea and a Syrian, they were the first refugees who wanted to practice kickboxing in the region. Mahmoud told me at the time that the club coach wanted to test them.
At that time, the boxers were practicing, so he asked two of them to play.” With “Mahmoud” and his comrades to test them, they treated them with extreme cruelty, and the coach looked at the three of them being hit in the face
How would they stop and what was their reaction? The important thing was that they treated them harshly so that the coach would know what was on their mind. After the first exercise, “Mahmoud” returned home, his face swollen, and he asked them for a second test in order to.
He knows how determined they are to endure and be steadfast. After the end of the first test, Mahmoud’s friends decided not to return or go back to the club, unlike Mahmoud.
I remember at the time that he was waiting for the morning to put on his sports clothes and go to the woods to run alone, and in the evening the coach and boxers in the club were surprised that Mahmoud was carrying his bag.
And he waited for them an hour before the club opened to begin his training, despite all the beating and kicking he had done to him on all parts of his body, thinking that they would not come back after that harsh training and test. And what was most beautiful of all was that the coach welcomed him to begin his exercises with the players and practice his hobby.
Even his coach, two months after… He said to Mahmoud: “Do you remember when you came with two of your friends and the players started beating you? I was the one who directed them to that. Despite this, I was sure that you would come to the club on the second day.” He told him that he was happy that Mahmoud had returned, as endurance and consistency are the main title of this game.
He continues, “And from that day, Mahmoud began training day and night and began studying all aspects of sports with all the physiological and psychological aspects. He also began studying the mentality of two of the legendary

Little by little, “Mahmoud” seemed ready to enter the world of fights, starting with the junior category and amateurs at the first level, which he passed without losing, so that the coach would put him in.
At the second level (C klas) at the provincial level, he also won several championships after one loss and a draw, beginning a somewhat more difficult stage, which is the (B klas) level for amateurs as well, through which he achieved several victories over a number of European boxers from multiple countries and boxers from Africa and Latin America. He won several championships and cups as well, with two losses, a draw, and fourteen wins.”
After those victories of “Mahmoud”, the “Infusion” organization began to focus its attention on the distinguished boxers and their records, so that “Mahmoud” chose to fight several matches.
Thank God, their halls and rings were good news for those strong and sturdy forearms and forearms of the world champion Mahmoud, so he finally moved to the professional category (A). klas) and begins again to fight fights with many world champions.
He goes to Romania with the club and wins over its champion and the same in Germany and again breaks the record of two Dutch champions, and also defeats the Sorbanese, Italian, Swedish, Moroccan, Cuban and other boxers from countries.
