DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:

Security patrols in Al-Mayadeen have reportedly warned owners of traditional bakeries (“Al-Tanour”) to obtain work permits and disclose the sources of their flour supply, according to a local reporter of DeirEzzor24.

This tactic is often used by officials associated with the Assad regime to extort bakery owners and force them to pay bribes.

It’s worth noting that many bakery owners cannot obtain a legitimate source of flour and rely on the black market for their supplies.
