Assad’s forces and Iranian militias summoned all their members in the city of Al-Mayadeen, east of Deir Ezzor, and asked them to return to their workplace immediately, according to a local reporter from DeirEzzor24.
Our reporter also said that the reason for this alert is the escalating clashes between tribal fighters and SDF in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. He added that the commandship of the 555th Regiment informed all of its local members of the necessity of heading to the regiment’s headquarters located behind the Conserua Factory, for fear of security repercussions resulting from the clashes east of the Euphrates.
The Assad regime is trying in various ways to exploit the military situation east of the Euphrates between the SDF and tribal fighters to its advantage.
