DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
This evening, the SDF arrested Ahmed Al-Khabil, the commander of the DEMC, and is still besieging two other commanders of the council in the Khashman area of the city of Al-Hasakah.
A DeirEzzor24 reporter said that the SDF had invited Ahmed Al-Khabil to a meeting in Al-Hasakah, after which they arrested him and moved to besiege a group that was accompanying him, which was headed by his brother Jalal Al-Khabil.
In a video published by Jalal Al-Khabil, he addressed the people of the Deir Ezzor clans to prepare to attack the headquarters of the SDF, after explaining the circumstances of the arrest of the commander of the Deir Ezzor Military Council and their besieging in Al-Hasakah.
In connection with these events, the SDF suddenly announced the beginning of a military campaign in Deir Ezzor, describing it as a “security operation to pursue Daesh cells in Deir Ezzor.”
Civil sources told DeirEzzor24 Network that tension and anger prevail in Deir Ezzor villages and towns following the arrest of Al-Khabil and the besieging of the other group, considering that the dispute is a Kurdish-Arab conflict, amid calls to arm the clansmen to confront the SDF.
It should be pointed out that manifestations of arming and blocking roads began to appear in several areas of Deir Ezzor, an indication of an imminent clash with the SDF.
