Since dawn, the security branches of the Assad regime have deployed joint patrols and temporary checkpoints in the vicinity of the Twaiba neighborhood in the city of Al-Bukamal, east of Deir Ezzor, according to the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 Network.
Our correspondent said that the reason for the deployment of the checkpoints is a problem that occurred last night between members of the National Defense Militia and some young men from the “Darwish al-Hodhod” family, during which clashes with light weapons took place due to smuggling of smoke.
He added that the checkpoints are searching those leaving the neighborhood in an attempt to arrest people wanted because of this problem.
It is noteworthy that members of the National Defense Militia in Albukamal work in smuggling smoke from Iraq, and many problems have arisen between them and people and militias because of the smuggling operations.
