Assad regime-aligned militia launches an attack on the Fourth Division in eastern Deir Ezzor

A clash took place between Assad-aligned militia of Usud al-Sharqiya militia, “Al-Shaitat”, and the operatives of a Fourth Division checkpoint at the intersection of the main street of the town of Al-Mari’iya, east of Deir Ezzor, according to a reporter of DeirEzzor24 Network.

Our reporter said that the clashes broke out after the operatives of the checkpoint stopped a man from Al-Shaitat coming from the Gulf via the Damascus road, and took his money and special items he carried with him. As a result, he asked for help from his relatives who are affiliated with the militia.

The fighting did not result in any casualties, and officers from Assad’s forces intervened to end it.
