The Assad regime arrests employees in Deir Ezzor

Criminal and State Security patrols arrested a number of employees responsible for monitoring harvesting operations in the city of Al-Bukamal and its countryside, east of Deir Ezzor, according to the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 Network.

Our correspondent said that the arrested employees belong to the Peasant Association, and they were arrested on charges of manipulating the numbers to facilitate the theft of crops and smuggling them at high prices out of the city of Deir Ezzor and the areas controlled by the SDF, after the Assad regime imposed specific very low prices on farmers and threatened them if they concealed a few crops.

The Assad regime has appointed a committee to monitor the harvesting of wheat and barley in Deir Ezzor, since the beginning of the current season.
