Deir Ezzor markets witnessed a new rise in winter seed prices, with a great trend towards rain-fed agriculture, according to the correspondent of DeirEzzor24 Network.

He said that a kilo of wheat seed reached 3600 Syrian pounds, and the price of a kilo of barley seed reached 3825 Syrian pounds.

Attempts to catch up with the rain-fed season in the eastern regions prompted some farmers to install tools for plowing the land on small cars (taxi) due to the lack of agricultural tractors.
