Yesterday, the results of the elections for the local administrative councils in Deir Ezzor were released, including the provincial council and the councils of cities, towns and municipalities, and the results were published on pages affiliated with the Assad regime.
What is remarkable about these results is that 31 candidates for the Deir Ezzor Provincial Council obtained the same number of votes (43614), in a precedent not witnessed by the electoral processes in the whole world, which reflects the intervention of the Assad regime and the party branch in selecting names according to means, knowledge and favoritism.
These results are a clear example of the electoral process pursued by the Assad regime in all forums and events.
