Members of the Fourth Division moved the metal bridge of Halabiya and Zalabiyah, and installed it using two cranes, in the place of the remaining northern part of the new dirt bridge, which connects Al-Husseiniya in the Al-Jazirah countryside with the city of Deir Ezzor, with a length of about 20 meters. They also installed metal borders on its sides.
The bridge is expected to be completed within days, in conjunction with a request from the Roads and Bridges Company “Rodco” to asphalt the bridge if asphalt is available.
It is worth noting that the Halabiya and Zalbeya bridge was knocked out of commission by the coalition in 2018. At that time, the Assad regime was trying to restore it in order to enter the western Jazira countryside from the town of Al-Kibar, which is under the control of the SDF, and move parts of it to Deir Ezzor Military Airport
