Iran recently started obtaining bidding authorizing it to set up projects in the Deir Ezzor countryside, an extension of what it had undertaken to open hospitals, public roads and gardens, in addition to buying and confiscating real estate in Deir Ezzor and Al-Bukamal.
Iran has recently turned to huge projects, by attracting Iranian companies, to open branches in the provinces, and the Iranian Revolutionary Guards militia has worked to equip a factory for plastic industries in the fields, in addition to establishing a factory for food industries.
These projects come in the context of consolidating the Iranian presence in the region and imposing its control over it economically, socially and militarily
