The operatives of an IRGC checkpoint in the Sukariya village, rural Al-Bukamal, prevented NDF militiamen from entering the village and threatened to arrest them, increasing the tension between boths sides.
These moves come at the order of the IRGC commander, Haj Askar, in light of the escalation of tension between the NDF and the Iranians in Deir Ezzor, in general , and Al-Bukamal, in particular.
