The Special Task Force for Security and Protection is Russia’s most prominent security company in Syria. It is owned by Al-Qaterji, one of Assad regime’s most prominent supporters. The company imports oil and its derivatives from the SDF-controlled areas to the areas controlled by Assad regime, and protects oil fields like: al-Ward, Al-Shoula, and al-Taim fields in Deir Ezzor.
