On Tuesday, a hand fight erupted between the al-Baqer and Nawaf al-Basheer militias, injuring fighters of both sides. The fight erupted as buses of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps militia headed to the al-Dreij area in Rif Dimashq.
An altercation triggered the fight between al-Basheer’s militia fighters and fighters from the Abu Assad group of the al-Baqer militia. The altercation turned into a hand fight using bladed weapons, injuring six fighters of both sides. The injured fighters were transported to a hospital in Deir Ezzor.
The hand fight erupted while Iranian militias’ fighters were gathering in order to be registered in the Assad forces’ registries at the Special Forces’ center in al-Dreij.
