A fist fight occurred at the al-Halabiya roundabout checkpoint at the northern Deir Ezzor countryside. The fight occured between the Assad regime’ 4th Division members and young men who wanted to cross the checkpoint.
The young men pushed down a member and beat him after he made fun of their identity cards, names, and nicknames. Members at the checkpoint fired to the air after the fight.
After the fight, the Military Security patroled the villages of al-Husayniyah, Hattlah, and al-Salihiyah searching for the young men.
The checkpoint is notorious as its members mal-ltreat
