Deir Ezzor 24 network learned that Major General Ghassan Salim Mohammed, commander of the High Security and Military Committee in Deir Ezzor, has issued a decision prohibiting members of the intelligence branches and military units in Deir Ezzor province from carrying their weapons outside their positions.
The decision also included that the joint patrols’ members must obey their officers’ orders, in addition to issuing new identity cards to all security and military members.
This decision coincided with a campaign of forced conscription carried out by the security branches in Deir Ezzor.
The Military and Security Committee consists of the leaders of intelligence services, the secretary of the Baath party branch, the governor and the commanders of Assad’s forces in Deir Ezzor.
