On Friday, September 18, shopkeepers closed their shops in Al-Bukamal city’s market due to repeated clashes, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
Many clashes broke out between Assad’s forces and the Iranian 47th Regiment militia in al-Bukamal in the past few days, the latest of which was a clash between two groups near the city’s automated bakery.
Russian forces intervened to stop the clash, but a state of tension continued to prevail in the city.
