A former detainee in one of the regime security branches in Syria has recently said that he had met several other detainees before his release. Among the detainees he met are two civilians from Deir Ezzor, and the last time he saw them was in November 2015.

The first person is identified as Saleh Hussein al-Khalaf, a student of petroleum engineering from the village of Abu Hamam east Deir Ezzor. He had been arrested by the regime security forces at Ayash check post in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, and he was firstly transferred to the Palestine branch in Damascus, and then put in the Branch 248, where he was seen recently.

The second person is identified as Abduallah Najm al-Ahmed from the village of Albu Layl in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. He was arrested in Ghuwayran district of Hasakah city, where he lived.

It should be noted that tens of students in Deir Ezzor have been arrested in recent years, some of whom lost total contact with their own families.
