In an outrageous move, Daesh exiled five families residing in the city of Al-Bukamal, east Deir Ezzor, to both the city of Mosul and Maadan, rural Raqqa, under the pretext that some of their relatives are affiliated with the New Syrian Army.
“The organization arrested several members of the exiled families following “The Day of the Earth” offensive which was launched by the NSF on Al-Bukamal city last month. They were recently released to face a one-year exile in the city of Maadan and Mosul. The order has been put into effect today, and civilians must leave their homes as soon as possible.” A D24 correspondent indicated today.
He added, “Three families were exiled to the Iraqi city of Mosul and the others to the city of Maadan in the eastern countryside of Raqqa. They were permitted to take all their necessary items and luggage”
Exiling civilians from their cities and towns is not the first of its kind, as the group already exiled civilians of Al-Shaitat tribes from their villages in the eastern countryside. They had to spend a one-year exile period away from their homes after facing appalling massacres at the hands of the group.
