The first delivery of medical supplies by the World Health Organization arrived to the besieged neighborhoods of Deir Ezzor city yesterday.
A D24 correspondent based in the besieged areas said, “A new batch of medical supplies, delivered by the World Health Organization, reached the besieged areas which are under the control of Assad’s forces. The supplies contain on antibiotics and 1300 bags of syrup.”
He added, “This is the first batch from a total of 14 tons that the World Health is intending to deliver to the besieged neighborhoods in the coming days.”
This is the biggest medical supplies that have ever been delivered to Deir Ezzor since the imposing of the siege on the city by Daesh in January 15, 2015.
Noteworthy, the medical and civilian situations in the city have slightly improved over the past two months.
