Today “Tuesday”, the SDF took control of Rmelan neighborhood in Ash-Shafah town in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, and the control came after heavy clashes with Daesh.
And the clashes between the two sides are continuing on the outskirts of Al-Taes neighborhood in Ash-Shafah town, east of Deir Ezzor, as the mines planted by Daesh are hindering the progress of the SDF in the town.
The SDF are adopting the strategy of besieging Daesh remaining areas east of the Euphrates, and exhausting the organisation elements in the region through the war of attrition, in the same context the US forces sent new military reinforcements around Ash-Shafah town in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, in order to end the presence of Daesh in his last pocket.
And a number of families have been able to leave the areas controlled by Daesh and have reached points controlled by the SDF near Ash-Shafah.
